Privacy policy

This policy explains what data TradeFather Signals collects when you use the app, bots, calculators, guides or partner pages, why we collect it, who processes it, how long we keep it, and how to request access, correction or deletion. We do not sell your data and we never ask for your broker password, email login or API key.

Data

What we collect

We only collect the minimum data needed to run the tools and keep your account secure.

When you create an account we generate an anonymous username and access key for you. We store a secure hash of the key, the broker platform you selected, your broker Trader ID, your activation status and the devices linked to your account (up to two). We do not ask for — and do not store — your broker email, broker password or any broker API key.

When you use the app we record which pages and tools you open, the signal and calculator settings you use, any errors you encounter, and the messages you send through in-app support. This helps us fix bugs, answer support tickets and understand which tools are most useful.

When you visit the site from a partner link, we store the referral code in a first-party cookie so we can credit the partner if you later create and fund a broker account. We also record the landing page, your country (estimated from your IP address) and conversion events for partner reporting.

Like most websites, our servers receive technical information automatically: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, requested pages, timestamps and error logs. We use this for security, performance monitoring and abuse prevention.

Purpose

Why we collect it

We use account data to authenticate you, restore access, enforce the two-device limit and link your account to the correct broker Trader ID. Without this data the signal engine cannot confirm your activation and the app cannot keep your account secure.

We use usage data to keep the tools working, answer your questions, prioritise improvements and spot broken features. Support messages are only used to resolve the ticket you opened; they are not used to sell you anything or shared outside the support team.

We use referral data to pay partners fairly and to report aggregated conversion activity to broker partner programmes. This is how the platform stays free without charging users directly.

We use technical logs to monitor uptime, detect suspicious activity, prevent abuse and investigate errors. We do not use IP addresses to personally identify users except when investigating security incidents.

Sharing

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers needed to host and operate the platform. Our backend infrastructure, authentication, database and storage are provided by our managed cloud backend, which processes data on our behalf under standard data-processing terms.

Broker partners receive only the minimum conversion or attribution data required to credit a referral (for example, that a new funded account came from our link). They do not receive your username, access key, Trader ID, support messages or trading history unless you choose to provide that information directly to the broker when you open your broker account.

We do not sell, rent or trade user lists with marketers, advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your data to target you with ads on other websites.

We may disclose data if required by law, such as to comply with a court order or to protect our rights, property or safety. We will object to overly broad requests where it is practical and lawful to do so.

Security

How we protect your data

Access keys are hashed before they are stored. Communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Backend data is stored in a secure cloud environment with access limited to the team members who need it to operate the service.

We designed the account system so that we do not need your broker password or API key. Even if our database were compromised, an attacker would not be able to log in to your broker account using data from TradeFather Signals.

Your account can only be active on two devices at once. If you try to use a third device, the app will ask you to unlink one of the existing devices first. This reduces the risk of a leaked username and key being shared widely.

No system is perfect. If we become aware of a security breach that affects your data, we will notify you as soon as we can and take reasonable steps to reduce harm.

Retention

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active or until you ask us to delete it. If your account is inactive for an extended period, we may delete it after giving you notice at the contact method we have on record.

Referral cookies expire 90 days after they are set. After expiry the cookie is no longer used for attribution unless you click a new partner link.

Support tickets are kept long enough to resolve your issue and train our support responses, then purged automatically after a limited retention period. Technical logs are rotated and deleted after they are no longer needed for troubleshooting or security investigations.

Some data may be kept longer if required by law, taxation rules or to resolve disputes. Once the legal requirement ends, we delete the data.

Cookies

Cookies and referral tracking

We use first-party cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and store your referral code. These are essential for the app to work and cannot be disabled without breaking sign-in.

Referral tracking uses a first-party cookie that stores the partner code for 90 days. If you later create and fund a broker account through our link, the cookie lets us credit the partner. You can clear this cookie at any time through your browser settings; clearing it only removes attribution and does not delete your account.

We use first-party analytics to understand aggregate usage of tools and pages. This helps us decide which calculators to improve and which guides to expand. It does not track you across the wider internet.

You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Refusing non-essential cookies will not stop the tools from working, but it may prevent referral attribution and some preference remembering.

Your rights

Access, correction and deletion

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to ask for incorrect data to be corrected, and to ask for your data to be deleted. Because accounts are anonymous and not tied to an email address, the fastest way to exercise these rights is to open an in-app support ticket and include your username and Trader ID.

If you request deletion, we will remove your account record, hashed access key, device bindings, support messages and referral data tied to your account. Aggregated analytics data that cannot identify you may be retained. We will confirm deletion within a reasonable time and tell you if any legal obligation requires us to keep something longer.

You can also correct some data yourself: you can unlink a device from the account page, and you can generate a new access key if you believe the old one has been shared. If you need help, use the Support button in the app.

Children

Not for users under 18

TradeFather Signals is not intended for users under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact support and we will delete the account and associated data.

Updates

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we add new features, tools or partners. The updated date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will notify active users through an in-app notice or a prominent banner.

Continuing to use TradeFather Signals after a change means you accept the updated policy. If you do not agree, stop using the service and request deletion of your account.
